Where have I been?!

I feel like such a slacker but it just seems like there hasn't been much going on at the house lately.  On original plan, we would live with the kitchen the way it was and then down the road in a couple years remodel and also add an extra bathroom...

Well my friends, plans took a total change of direction.  There is no longer a kitchen and there are no longer walls in some areas!  JP decided that it would just be easier to tear out all plaster that would eventually be coming out now since it is such a dirty, dusty, mess to do.  So all things have been put on hold lately.  I was going to start painting once the bedroom and master bathroom were done.  But now since there's going to be more dirty, dusty drywalling, we're holding off painting.  Not really a big deal though; my philosophy is that I don't want the pretty and newly painted walls to become layered in a thick of dust just to be cleaned off again.

Since I can't do much on the inside my next plan of action is the outside.  It's just kind of blah right now.  I took some better pictures of the outside of the house and what we're working with but I haven't uploaded them yet but will soon.  I'd like to cut down old flowers and weeds and just spruce up a little.  I'm excited that it's a blank slate though, my creativety is extending to landscaping and my mind is flowing with all kinds of ideas.  I'm still trying to convince JP of letting me install window flower boxes to the front of the house, still a no-go for the mean time though.

Kind of feels like a lot of unfinished business... but slowly and surely it's coming along and I'm liking where it's going :-).
